Description
In 1990 Buck introduced their first interchangeable blade knife when they launched the original Selector. Although long since discontinued, the Selector became a favorite for many Buck users and they were often asked to bring it back. 2016 brings you the improved version – the Selector 2.0. Based on Buck’s successful Open Season hunting line, the Selector 2.0 currently features three interchangeable blades including a drop point, partially serrated drop point and a gutting blade. Each blade is 420HC steel and heat treated by Buck’s patented heat treating process.
Replacement blade for the 550 Selector 2.0. This 3 3/4″ skinner blade was designed to lower the risk of puncturing organs while skinning. Options of Gutting, Clip Point and Drop Point available as well.
We are known for our blades. Buck Knives is a market leader in edge retention thanks to our steel selections and heat treat process pioneered by industry famous, Paul Bos, whose heat treating system has proven to be the best in the business. Each blade is put through a rigorous heat treat process and quality performance test. It is then tempered to the appropriate Rockwell Hardness through a heating, freezing, and reheating system. This gives you longer edge life, ease of resharpening, and a blade that will not fail you.
